How to get these marks off my face?

Whenever I get pimples or zits and they go away, without me picking at them or anything, they leave marks on my face. I have a caramel color skin tone and the marks are a dark brown and its really effecting me. I feel like thats all people see when they look at me. What can I do to help this? are there any off the shelve products that wont hurt my face but help get rid of these marks?
